Several new Blackberry 4.1 Certification Exams popped up recently on RIM’s Certification website. I’ll be honest, I overlooked them several times, so I figured I’d post them here so you could stay in touch.

Okay, I know I am biassed on us being awesome or not. But, I spoke to Ian, one of our test developers today and he tells me he is almost done writing a practice exam for the new VMWare 4.0 certification exam.

I heard him mumble something about 500 questions and answers!

Certified Lotus Professionals pursuing IBM Certified Application Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 will have to pass exam LOT-954 IBM Lotus Notes Domino 8.5 Developing Web Applications

The proctored Lotus Certification exam contains 84 questions and must be completed in 105 minutes and requires a 75% passing score.

I find it hard at times to keep up with the amount of exams Blackberry has released for their certification tracks.

In all fairness, they have taken a bit of a beating from the iPhone so I think they are stressing the importance of the Blackberry Enterprise Server in the Enterprise and being a certified administrator or a certified developer (or heck, both), has a lot importance now.

Here are a few new exams that they are offering.

IBM has made some giant strides towards making it much easier to determine the level of your IBM Certification for software.

Passing these different exams, regardless of what level, is difficult. Be sure and use our products to pass these exams and work your way up the careeer ladder.

Entry-level roles are categorized IBM Certified Associate.

The intermediate-level category is IBM Certified Professional.

Advanced-level certifications are categorized IBM Advanced Professional.

With these three levels of certifications available for IBM software such as WebSphere Certification, Lotus Certification and more, others will be able to quickly recognize your skill level is recognized through your certification title and capabilities.

On August 26th, IBM released this new certification exam for Lotus Notes users.

It’s one of the three tests required when taking Path 2 to Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 certification, and the third test has not been released yet.

All Available Lotus Certification Practice Tests are available to ensure you pass any Lotus Certification exam after careful studying.

As a certification, this exam assures that the test-taker has a

deeper understanding of architectural concepts, and the use of more complex functions and features, including Xpages.

The IBM website offers details, objectives, suggested training and sample tests for this exam, which holds 78 questions and allows an hour and a half (90 minutes) in which the test can be taken.

There are authorized testing centers around the world, via Prometric.

When considering the kind of database expertise required to understand this exam, and the objectives of the course as a whole, one can look at the summarized objectives for application architecture: connecting to enterprise data, connecting to internal data (internal to notes and the same server), creating mail-enabled forms, creating mail-in databases, creating/modifying/troubleshooting forms, designing applications which incorporate OLE objects, and understanding the purpose and features of both databases and Xpages (including various nuances in this area) are all some of the things test-takers will be certified in once they complete the exam - but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Further parts of the exam show how to manage workflow and security, as well as how to incorporate design elements into your programming (and troubleshoot both).
